Želinc Hotel, Idrija
A traditional hotel nestling in the verdant Idrijan hills - a great base for exploring the middle bit of Slovenia. Oh, and an outdoor pool.
The house itself is built and decorated in traditional style, and the fifteen guest rooms are airy and comfortable.
There is a very nice restaurant, serving local specialities at very reasonable prices: the half-board option should be taken very seriously!

Late spring, summer, early autumn: shorts, T-shirts, sturdy shoes or boots, something warm for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains, for daytime adventures.
Late autumn, winter, early spring: warmer clothing - especially during January and February.
More than welcome.
Želinc is open throughout the year.
As Idrija is what you might call a semi-mountainous area, you can expect almost anything. Summer temperatures average around 22C, while winters can get down to around minus 15C at night. Although Želinc is beautiful in the summer, and is well loceted for the nearby skiing at Cerkno.
