Hotels in Slovenia
Posestvo Pule, Dolenjska
The concept behind the Pule Estate is a mix of Pristava Lepena and Nebesa - 'nuff said.
The chalets are built with traditional local materials... plus oodles of glass. The view from the lounge is through a huge wall of glass, with a lovely open firplace in the middle. They're filled with some very beautiful furniture - much of which is either authentically original, or specially commissioned - plus flat TVs and all that modern stuff. Each chalet has a terrace, with sun loungers and seating, with a view across the verdant meadows and deep forests. If you've been to either Pristava Lepena or Nebesa, you'll know what we mean, as the Pule was inspired by both of them.
The six chalets are divided into nine suites (for 2 or 4 persons), named after women from the Anderlič family history.
The restaurant (Pod Skednjem) is in the main building and seats up to sixty people. The outer wall is fitted with glass doors, which can be completely opened during the warmer months. However, the clever bit is on the oposite wall, where you will see large plate glass windows... behind which are the horses in their stables: seriously cool.
Just outside the restaurant and down some steps is a specially-built wine cellar, stocked with most of Slovenia's very best wines. We strongly recommend that you, er, take full advantage of its proximity.

In the summer, shorts, frocks, T-shirts, sandals (or sturdy shoes or boots if you're off walking), something warmer for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains. In winter: wrap up!
More than welcome.
Posestvo Pule is only open between Wednesday and Sunday nights, and will be closed between 9 January 2013 and 1 April 2013.
Summers are warm, with July and August are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures around 25C, while during spring and autumn you can expect around 15-20C.
Winters can be very cold indeed, with deep snow sometimes during January and February: perfect for huddling up in one of these beautiful suites.
We had an amazing time. All your recommendations were perfect. We took the car train - which was great fun to Nebesa.
All the hotels were fabulous [Antiq, Pule Estate]. All providing the best service we have experienced. Absolutely world class!
Slovenia is a fantastic country - friendly people, amazing views, lots to do and great service.
We'll be back for sure and will also be recommending Slovene Dream to all our family and friends.
Thanks for everything.
