Katričnek, Bohinjska Bela, Lake Bled
A lesson to all those ex-pats who want to have a rental property in foreign parts: the more you put in, the more you'll get out. A truly lovely place to stay.
As I said, the owner - Ralph - has given much thought to his guests' comfort, to the point that their mission is to find themselves in the position where all his work no longer goes into attracting customers... but into getting rid of them! In each of the three apartments you will find:
- Big beds and big, comfortable sofas
- Free Wi-Fi internet access, flatscreen TV (if you can't break the habbit), DVD player, a selection of movies and a stack of books - maybe including Lord of the Rings (if you can't break the hobbit)
- Fully equipped kitchen and plenty of table space for everyone to eat together
- Slippers and thick warm robes in the winter
- Optional welcome pack: local bread, cheese, ham, milk, coffee, wine, beer and anything else we think you might like
- Heated swimming pool
- A bunch of useful stuff like local maps and guide books, phone chargers and adaptors.
By far the largest apartment (at 140 sq. m): two double bedrooms, twin bedroom, two shower rooms, fully equipped kitchen, and upstairs living room with south facing balcony and fabulous views.
Comfortably holds four adults and two children.
A cracking duplex apartment with a double-bedroom, twin-bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. From the living room you can step onto the south facing balcony to enjoy those incredible views.
Easily holds two adults and two children in the double and twin upstairs.
Apartment 4, like 3, is a duplex apartment with a double and twin bedroom with two bathrooms and of course a kitchen and living room. It has a south facing balcony off the living room downstairs as well as an extra balcony off the double bedroom looking east down the valley.
Comfortably holds two adults and two children in the bedrooms upstairs

In the summer, shorts, frocks, T-shirts, sandals (or sturdy shoes or boots if you're off walking), something warmer for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains. In winter: wrap up!
More than welcome: plenty to do and see and explore and eat and and and and... are we there yet?
Katričnek is open all year.
Summers are warm - July and August are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures around 25C, while during spring and autumn you can expect around 15-20C.
Winters can be very cold indeed, with deep snow sometimes between December and March.
