Antiq Hotel, Ljubljana
The first of Ljubljana's wave of independent, small hotels, the Antiq provides an elegant base from which you can investigate the city's 'old town'.
There are just sixteen rooms, one of which is a suite and although the doubles are very spacious with en suite bathrooms, there are two tiny doubles which each have a private bathroom along the corridor. The beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms beautifully finished. The suite is at the top of the house and is self-contained, comprising a lounge, kitchen, bathroom and terrace.

In the summer, shorts, frocks, T-shirts, sandals (or sturdy shoes or boots if you're off walking), something warmer for the evenings and something waterproof in case it rains. In winter: wrap up!
More than welcome. The hotel is in a pedestrian precinct, so no traffic worries... although they'll be dragging you off to splash in pools, march around castles and visit ice cream bars, no doubt.
Antiq Hotel is open all year.
Summers are warm - July and August are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures around 25C, while during spring and autumn you can expect around 15-20C.
Winters can be very cold indeed, with deep snow sometimes between December and March.
All round gorgeous. Weather (thank you for organising this), accommodation, food, culture, landscape, transport...
Antiq is a lovely hotel with superb breakfast.
We loved both accommodations. Staying in the "old town" (Antiq) part of the city was charming and so beautiful. Both places had welcoming and accommodating staff and the rooms and grounds clean.
Hotel Antiq, we enjoyed the night there. We had a very nice room with a little kind of conservatory style balcony at the back. The room was lovely; spacious and peaceful. We went out for a stroll (in the rain) to find somewhere for dinner and ended up at Julia's where we had our first (of many!) bottle of Slovenian wine.
We thought the Antiq Hotel was a great location and the staff were really friendly. So thanks for your help organising everything, we hope to return.
The Antiq was the ideal place to stay in Ljubljana. Perfect location, good hotel service, nice rooms and very friendly staff.
Antiq: the perfect location for a city break in my opinion, the suite was awesome and it's got real character. Well worth the money and Ljubljana is possibly my new favorite capital city!
Everything was FABULOUS!!!! Both myself and my partner had an absolutly amazing time!! We we're both very impressed with Slovenia, after not knowing what to expect. It's a beautiful country.
The hotels were all very impressive, the Antiq was exclusive, and perfectly situated in the old town, which i really liked.
